University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center reports 14% survival rate for heart attack victims with traditional CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation uses a combination of breathing and chest compressions), increased to 23% survival rate using chest compressions alone at a rapid rate of 100 compressions per minute. Note: Traditional CPR is still better for infants and drowning victims.
